I have used this brand since hearing about how great the products are. I went to the tobacco factory just for elvire!
Used everything from face wash, to body scrubs, to body butter and face oils. Will never go back ,my full skincare is only homemade at 54 🙂
I bought a couple shampoo bars from here at the Saturday market in Bath last summer. I’ve just ran out and am so relieved I can refill my stock thanks to the online shop!! These shampoo bars are made with far healthier ingredients than anything you’d find at Lush or other similar shops and they’re also very well priced. The packaging was super cute and they arrived within 48 hours! So happy, thank you!
I was given a Geranium and Patchouli Body Butter two years ago at Christmas and have since bought several pots myself. The smell is gorgeous – it rubs in really well and leaves my skin feeling soft and silky smooth. It is luxury in a pot! Highly recommend.
I made an early trip from Wales to drop my little sister at Bristol Airport, because it’s easier to beg your brother than book a bus. With time to kill (and a strong need for brekky) I watched the sunrise from Clifton and then wandered off in search of a market.
I was pulled in by the smell of your stall and genuinely impressed by the range of handmade products. I walked away with the Tea Tree & Rosemary fragrance and haven’t looked back since. It’s easy to apply, feels great, and somehow gets me more compliments than I’m emotionally prepared for.

I started off last year discovering the amazing body butters, my favourite is the Geranium & Patchouli, it’s the best body butter I have ever used and smells amazing! Since then I have been trying other products such as the luxury salt soap bars, and the facial oils. All of the products are well made, work really effectively and smell amazing – it feels so good to use them – I can’t imagine buying another brand now!
I have been using her handmade exfoliating soap for a while which I love and recently bought her Lemon and Lime cleanser, what a game changer! my skin has never felt so good and I look forward to the end of the day just to use it!
I bought a body butter and exfoliating soap, thinking I might use them occasionally. I used the products that evening, and I have used them every day since. Followed up by placing another larger order. I’m terrible at keeping up a routine but using these products truly feels nourishing and a luxury.
I suffer from dry/inflamed skin and the difference in only a couple weeks is noticeable. The tea tree body butter is my favourite, and the exfoliating bars work so much better than any mainstream ones I’ve purchased helping with ‘grey’ skin and making my tattoos look more vibrant.
As a small side note I emailed direct to create an order and Elvire was so helpful and accommodating.
Elvire’s products are so beautifully hand crafted with great ingredients that are made to last. Her Christmas specials are particularly amazing, with some amazing seasonal scents. Her soaps last so much longer than any other soap I’ve ever used, with one bar lasting up to 3 months, which makes them great value for money too!
I can’t recommend Homemade at 54 enough! It is clear that so much thought and care goes into Elvire’s products. My absolute favourite is the Orange, Lavender & Patchouli body butter – it’s such a luxurious scent and melts beautifully on the skin.
I ordered gift boxes from Elvire by email as they were not shown on her website. Elvire was very attentive and helpful by sending me a list of all the products she had available to enable me to make up my own gift boxes. The boxes arrived quickly and in excellent condition. It has been a pleasure doing business with Elvire. I can thoroughly recommend Elvire and “Handmade at 54”.
